First Public Performance: The song was performed publicly for the first time on February 5, 1993, at the historic foundation stone laying ceremony of the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, which was solemnized by Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamigal of Sringeri Sharada Peetham. It was presented on that memorable occasion by Sasikala S. and Sreekala S., who were then students at Brahmanandodayam Sanskrit U.P. School, Kalady.
Festival Victories and Popularity: Following its inaugural rendition in 1993, the song gained widespread acclaim and became a regular choice for school arts competitions. Years later, at the Kerala State School Youth Festival held in Kozhikode in January 2001, students from Vidyadhiraja Vidyabhavan performed this song and bagged the first place at the state level with an 'A' grade. Decades later, students continue to perform this devotional prayer song regularly at school arts festivals and cultural gatherings across Keralam.
